There is no typical perpetrator.
Batterers come from all socioeconomic, ethnic, religious, age, and employment
groups. However, they often share some of the following characteristics:

Great need to control situations/people. |

Rarely acknowledge emotions or feelings. |

Often attempt to isolate their victims. |

be quite charming initially. |
