Donation Wishlist

If you wish to donate items for our clients, please call (205) 758-0808 for drop off and mailing details. A donation receipt can be available upon request. To stay updated on client needs, join our mailing list below.

    • Rubbing alcohol

    • Peroxide

    • Liquid body wash

    • Women/men’s underwear

    • Hair accessories (hair ties, clips, bobby pins, headbands)

    • African American hair products

    • Pads

    • Liners

    • Tampons

    • Body wipes

    • Soap

    • Diapers

    • Baby wipes

    • Lotion

    • Pull-Ups

    • Wash cloths

    • Children’s new underwear

    • Gift cards (Visa, Walmart, Target, Dollar General, and Gas Cards)

  • We also rely on donations for regular operation necessities for the office and the shelter. These include:

    • Ziploc sandwich and freezer bags

    • Laundry detergent

    • Dishwashing liquid

    • Toilet paper

    • Paper towels

    • Copy paper

    • Cardstock and gloss paper

    • Mixing bowls

    • Storage food containers

    • Crock pot (extra-large)

    • Casserole dishes (extra-large)

  • These requests are made by clients as to what contributions can be made to our food storage.

    • Canned veggies

    • Baked beans

    • Black beans

    • Rice

    • Cream of chicken

    • Cream of mushroom

    • Chicken base

    • Beef base

    • Stewed tomatoes

    • Boxed mac-n-cheese

    • Stove Top mix

    • Egg noodles

    • Spaghetti noodles

    • Ramen noodles

    • Chicken noodle soup

    • Tomato soup

    • Pickles

    • Canned tuna

    • Knorr sides

    • Ranch powder seasoning

    • Hot sauce

    • Breadcrumbs

  • These items, while much appreciated, we cannot accept for our clients. At this time, we also cannot accept any clothing items that are not new with the tags still attached. Please contact Temporary Emergency Services for clothing donations as it is a resource our clients often use.

    • Used Pillows or Bedding

    • Used undergarments or swimwear.

    • Expired or soon to be expired food or products (such as toothpaste, formula, skincare, etc.)

    • Old or heavily used small and large appliances

    • Expired/damaged car seats or car seats that have been in a wreck.

    • Used/opened beauty products (such as makeup, skincare, hair products, wigs/extensions, etc.)

    • Used linens and mattresses.

    • Books (due to lack of storage).

  • These are items that we allocate for monthly activities with shelter clients to make their stay more enjoyable and help them learn life skills.
